Link ME to That

We are ready to begin beta testing for Link ME to That. We are looking for 100 volunteer beta testers who can commit to submitting 2 questions and 2 answers per day. Additionally, we would like each person to test the features on the site, look for bugs, and make suggestions for enhancements. We plan to have 30 days of testing before going live full scale. If you are interested please let us know by either commenting on this post or by sending us a message. Once we have 15 testers we are going to begin the beta testing. Feel free to forward this invitation on to anyone you know who might be interested. We can also be contacted via email at

Why Object Illusions?

Why Object Illusions?  I have been having a love hate relationship with object oriented programming for years now.  It seems to follow a particular pattern.  I read something cool sounding to do with object.  I think about how I could use it.  I started writing the code.  The code bloats beyond belief.  Frustration sets in.  I declare my undying hatred for object oriented programming.  But, then I re-write it as procedural code and that looks horrible now.  So I move forward with a mixed bag of objects and procedural code.

Object orienting always seems to promise more than it delivers leading me to feel disappointed and frustrated but at the same time I have had wonderful success using certain patterns: active record, observer, chain of responsibility, etc.

More to come….
